Using Copy-and-Paste

Top  Previous  Next

This feature lets you resize a batch of files and/or folders by copying them from a "chooser" program, then pasting them into JpegSizer for resizing.

With this technique, you can:

Select folders or files from a chooser program, such as Windows Explorer, My Computer or a thumbnail viewer; then
Use the chooser's Copy command to copy a list of the selected items to the Windows clipboard; then
Paste them into JpegSizer for resizing.

> To resize images using copy-and-paste:

1.From your chooser program, select the files and/or folders you want to resize
2.Use the same program's Copy command to copy a list of the selected items to the Windows clipboard.
3.Run the JpegSizer application.
4.Select the settings and main window options you want to use for resizing.
5.On JpegSizer's File menu, select Resize files in clipboard (or type Ctrl-V).
6.PRO-1 If your selected items include folders, JpegSizer will ask whether you want to scan subfolders for image files.
7.JpegSizer will process the files in the normal way.

Tips: The clipboard can also contain:

An image captured from the display of an image editor, web browser or other image viewing program. In this case, the clipboard contains the actual image, not the filename of an image.
An image captured using the Windows Print Screen function. Press the PrtSc key to capture the whole desktop, or Alt-PrtSc to capture only the active window.
A list of files and/or folders copied from a source such as a text editor. Each item in the list must be a full path to a folder or file.
